About...

This Brighton-based duo makes music that is punk and political! Many of their songs sharply critique society, particularly British society. The track ‘God’s Country’ is lively and strong in its opinion of the political far-right, with the key lyric ‘Great Britain / Are you sure?’

Lyrics...

Lambrini Girls have created a vicious song that takes an uprising against the UK Government. With lyrics about ‘the poor are getting poorer’ and that our ‘state is lawless’, the duo are really able to highlight the political issues of the UK in 2024 whilst creating a great energetic punk track

Production...

The track begins with a foot-tap-inducing guitar introduction and soon after the punchy and tongue-in-cheek lyrics begin. After the first verse, the guitar becomes explosive and heavy, completely enforcing the middle finger the duo are putting up to the UK Government

Summary...

Lambrini Girls claim this 2024 track is their ‘long, overdue call-out of the government and rise of the far right’. The punk duo, like many punk bands before them, use their music as a way of making a political and social statement, and these two — Phoebe and Lilly — definitely continue this notion throughout all of their releases
