The track talks through missing someone through soft rapping and singing, the lyrics talking about seeing them in lucid dreams and their imagination, talking about still being up for a night together and dancing in the dark together
Production...
Produced by Dom Valentino the track has a slightly vintage sound like old hip hop on vinyl, utilising the percussion to create constant movement within the tracks and bending synthesisers to create fluidity and freedom. The instrumentation is left open enough for Rio’s almost whispered vocals to float over the track without interruptions
Summary...
Having recently done a massive headline show along with the release of his EP, it seems Rio is going to take 2024 to get his music sounding just as good live as on Spotify. I’m excited for this evolution and to see his star further rise throughout the year
